Mama Mexico

Tonight we went to this awesome Mexican restaurant that Brian suggested called Mama Mexico It had the most delicious guacamole that they make at your table side.  The food was so good and the decor was crazy fun.  They also had a 3 man roving mariachi band. We really wanted to take a picture of them but we were not sure if you were supposed to tip them, so I acted like I was taking a picture of Brian to get them in the background. I guess I was not too sneaky as you can see from the next couple of pictures. This is a definite repeat restaurant. Good pick Brian.

Snowy, Snowy Day

We are having a wonderful snowy day in New York today.  By tonight we could accumulate up to 7".  Central Park is so beautiful when the snow first falls and when we were out today we took a few pictures for you to enjoy.  Then we went to the spot where everyone wants to go on a snow day, Pinkberry.  We were the only ones there, but it is such a refreshing treat.  On the way to the subway home the wind was blowing in our face and it was snowing so hard that Brian jokingly said I wish I had my ski goggles.  Sure enough when we got on the subway someone had on ski goggles we could not stop laughing the whole way home.

Here come the Dinosaurs, Marching, Marching...

While Megan and Lonnie were here on New Year's Day we went to the American Museum of Natural History. Nobody had ever been there before except me so I was the tour guide (and only got us lost 3 or 4 times).  It really is one of the best museums in NYC, after MOMA it's my fave. We only live a short 10 min walk away so whoever comes to visit us should definitely plan on going.  The only downside was that a lot of the exhibits are lit in very dim light so all the pictures I tried to take didn't really turn out except at the dino exhibit.  Even adults feel like little kids when you see how amazing the dinosaurs are at the museum.

The Gardner's Come for a Visit

Last week Megan and Lonnie came for a visit to ring in the new year in New York City.  We had a lot of fun hanging out, shopping, eating, and site seeing.  I was lucky and had the whole week off except for New Year's Eve; Brian came with me to babysit and Megan and Lonnie went to the My Morning Jacket concert at Madison Square Gardens.  I am sad to see them leave but hopefully they will come back soon.
