The Scott's Come for a Visit

This past weekend we had Elizabeth and Brian in town for a visit. I am already sad that they went home. We had such a wonderful time together. No matter what, no matter how old I am or where I am whenever I get together with Liz and Brian I feel like I am in high school. The only difference is now we talk about kids (one day), money, and... well let's face it we still gossip about the same old stuff. In high school, I know it's bad, but Liz and I were gossip queens and Brian always joined right in.  Well nothing has much changed because one night it took us almost 3 hours to stop talking just to get out the door to eat pizza. That's why I love the Scott's so much, we have the best conversations and I always get my dose of a great laugh. 

Anyways, we had a wonderful holiday weekend and it's always fun to take people around New York who have never been here (this was Brian's first visit, Liz's 3rd). We sure were all about the food on this trip, we even waited 2 hours to eat at an amazing breakfast place one morning. We arrived 5 minutes after it opened and it was already a 2 hour wait, but the Clinton Street Baking Company is sure worth the wait. Here are a lot of pictures of all the fun stuff we did. Beautiful Day

Yesterday was such a beautiful spring day so we decided to enjoy the nice weather at the park. We don't live as close to the park as we used to but it is only like a ten minute walk and there is a great view of the East River. It was very relaxing to read a book and lay in the grass. I can't wait until summer when it is just a little warmer. When we came home I decided to make Brian's favorite for dinner, chicken quesadillas. Our friends from the building called and they were having mexican night too so we decided to make it a mexican pot luck and meet on the terrace for dinner. What a perfect ending to a beautiful day. 

Happy Mother's Day

I just want to say Happy Mother's day to our moms and all our friends and family who are also moms. I hope you had a great day. We wish we could have been there to visit with our moms today but at least we got to chat on the phone. Brian and I actually both had to work on Mother's Day. But we have the most amazing mommies that would do anything for us and we are so lucky to have them in our lives. Thank you for all you do and we love you MOM.

Fun Weekend

We had such a good weekend just hanging out with our friends and sleeping in.  We ate Persian food on Friday night and it is so delicious. This restaurant started off the weekend on the right foot because it was byob. After dinner we headed to the Empire Hotel where one of Brian's co-workers was celebrating his birthday but we were turned down. Apparently Diesel Shoes and a Lacoste shirt are not nice enough for the Empire. They told Brian his outfit did not comply with their dress code. Oh well, Brian said that if JT was wearing the same outfit he would have gotten in, but I had to remind Brian that he is not JT. 

On Saturday we attended Columbia's Orthopedic Department Alumni Gala.  It was at the New York City Yhat Club. The room we sat in for dinner and after dancing was so beautiful and had a gigantic ornate fireplace that was so amazing. Dinner was delicious and they had a great band. I love any event with free dinner and wine.

Derby Week 2

Last week was so much fun in Louisville but we are home now back in New York. We had such a great time visiting that we are going to try to make it home every year for Derby week. It was so great to hang out with all our friends. We did miss getting to see Caleb and Whitney and some of my family, but hopefully we can make it back soon. I wanted to post a few more pictures from the week. So here ya go.
