Halloween Week

We celebrated Halloween Week here at the Schulz house and the babies dressed up in a different Halloween outfit everyday. For Halloween they were Raggedy Ann and Andy. I can't wait till next year when they are running around and getting candy.

Grandma's 80th Birthday

My Grandma Willett turned 80 at the beginning of October and we were able to travel to Louisville for the big surprise party. The babies actually did great on both plane rides but they did not adjust to the time change since we were only there for 4 days and they were waking up 4 times a night because they knew we were in the same as room as them. So besides not getting much sleep it was such a great trip. We were able to see our whole family and most of our friends and Brian had an interview but we still don't know anymore on that front so lets keep our fingers crossed. My Grandma is amazing and one of the most loving people I know. She raised 5 kids, 4 of whom were boys, and has 11 grandchildren plus a few more who married into the family, and 5 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way.

7 months!

On October 4th you guys turned 7 months. We were in Louisville to celebrate Grandma Willett's 80th birthday, more on that later. At 7 months old we have really settled into a good routine and you are truly happy babies. At a yoga class we attended last week the instructor said that babies are empty and everything we do fills them up completely and that's the goal is to empty our minds and try to reach that place of innocence. Can you even imagine not having a care, worry or thought in the world and just laughing every time someone blew on your belly. That is one of the best things about this age is that you  both look to us for all your entertainment, comfort, nourishment and love and it is the best feeling in the world.

Mobility: Hudson is a better sitter and Hadley prefers to be on her back or tummy. Hudson spins in circles on his belly but doesn't crawl anywhere yet. Hadley is a rollie polie and rolls anywhere she wants to go.

Activities: They both love their jumpers and all music. Itsy Bitsy Spider is still the fave around here and it can stop most all crying on a dime. They both love to be outside and are mesmerized whenever the TV is on. Hudson's likes to find tags on everything and eat them. They like to chew their Sophie Giraffes and play the drum. One of the highlights of their day is when daddy comes home, they both get so excited.

Eating: Are great eaters; Hadley has more of a sweet tooth but Hudson will eat anything including whatever Hadley doesn't finish. Hudson inhales his food and Hadley likes to take her time eating. They both like mum mum rice cakes and Hudson's face lights up when I just get the package out. They also love drinking water out of a straw.

Talking: Hudson Makes lots of grunting sounds and Hadley squeaks and they both say dadadadadada.

Sleeping: Both are really good sleepers and they go to bed around 7:00pm and sleep until 6:45/7am and they talk to each other in the morning until we go in and get them around 7/7:15am. They take 2 good naps that are both between 1-2hrs long. Hadley still sleeps a little more than Hudson but they are on the same schedule 90% of the time.

Personality: Hudson is still Mr. Personality and he is on 100% of the time. The word relax does not exist in Hudson's dictionary. He laughs out loud but can scream and cry with just as much passion. It's never a dull moment with "Bub Rub" around. Hadley is very sweet and calm but she has started to show her feisty side and will yell when she wants something. She still doesn't cry much but when she does it is the saddest little cry. Hadley is still our night owl and comes alive at bed time. She often talks to herself at night for 30 minutes or longer.

Naked Babies (Almost 7 months)
They turned 7 months when we were in Louisville
I took these pics this week at 7.5 months since we were in Louisville I didn't really get any good pics of them alone. You can really see their personalities in these photos and how hard it is to photograph twins. I think this one was my favorite.

Bye Bye Grandmom & Grandpop

We had such a nice time while Grandmom and Grandpop were here and can't wait for them to come back at the beginning of November.  I didn't realize how much I would love having company while living out here but the days can get lonely and exhausting so it is really wonderful when family comes to visit.  Here are a few more pictures from their visit.
Hanging out with mommy and daddy early in bed so we don't wake them up
