When I saw this picture the first thing I said was Hudson looks just like Grandpa. Bill always holds his hands like this when he is sitting on the couch. I looked through all my pictures and I couldn't find any pics of him sitting like this though, probably because I don't usually take pics of people just sitting around. But I did stumble across this one of him and Brian at a Yankees game. Don't you see the resemblance?
Late Friday night Grandmom and Grandpa arrived for a week long visit. So far we have done some sightseeing, eating out, and lots of baby play time. We were not sure how Hudson would act because of his stranger anxiety but he hasn't had any issue going to them, I guess he remembers their faces from all the time we spent living at their house.
As soon as they woke up the first morning they had to show off their drumming skills
Cuddles with Grandmom
Another trip to Ranchos Palos Verdes and this time we went early and also added in a stop at the Wayfarers Chapel that was built by Frank Loyd Wright's son. It is a beautiful glass chapel.
The Bell Tower
Then we headed to Nelson's for dinner
The first time in their booster seats and they had so much fun and really liked sitting at the table
Trying some guacamole and she loved it just like her mommy
The only bummer was that the clouds came in right as the sun was setting so we didn't get to enjoy the sunset views but the weather until then was awesome
Beautiful views all around
They were having a full conversation with each other and it was the first time I have seen them interact this much with each other. It was so fun to watch. We took a series of pictures to capture it all and a video.
We are having so much fun with Grandmom and Grandpa visiting!
Sunday I really wanted to get some good pictures of the babies because I still haven't had professional pictures of them made. I am waiting for them to both be able to sit up. So I took tons of pics on Sunday of all our outings but none of them were a real success. How do you get two babies to look and smile and not droll or fall over at the same time, impossible.
We went to the Brentwood Farmers Market in the morning because we heard from Val's sister that it was awesome and it was. They had so much delicious food and I got the most beautiful bunch of lilies for only $5. The only thing was that it was really hot like around 90 degrees and the babies were so hot. Hadley does not like the heat and gets really grumpy. So Brian tried to keep them in the shade while I shopped. We forgot how much warmer it is inland because we live so close to the beach. We will wait for it to cool down to go back. By the way we didn't notice any celebs but this is the market you see all the celebrities at in People Magazine.

Sunday evening we decided to check out another local park. This time we found a good one. It is brand new, only a 5 minute drive, baby friendly, and no poopy swings yeah!
Hadley likes to lean back on Hudson it's so sweet
Fun with Daddy on the side
You know how much they love drums right now
A baby bouncy seat
The park also had a discovery nature trail that we walked along before we left. This park is going to be a regular stop and I can't wait to watch them eventually crawl then run around it.
I am not as crafty on a blog page as I am with a paintbrush or a scrapbook but I will try my best. We are excited to share our adventures in the city but home sweet home will always be Louisville. But for now it's Laura, Brian, and our son/dog Foster in NYC.
