6 months old!

Today Hudson and Hadley are 6 months old, we made it through a half year of their life and we surely are exhausted. Last night when we were cleaning up after we put them to bed Brian said, what did we use to do with all of our time because we still have just as much work to do and the babies on top of that. I guess we use to watch a whole lot of TV and go out to eat 4 times a week. Well those days are gone but we wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. They are so much fun everyday and so full of life. We still like to sneak in a watch them sleep sometimes but our favorite part of the day is when they wake up in the morning or from a long nap because they are so happy to see us and they have huge grins on their faces. Here are a few other things they are doing at 6 months old:

Playing together they are starting to look and laugh at each other now 

Surprise Daddy came home for a quick visit today because his work is so close

Hudson

• Have two bottom teeth
• Full of energy and you are in constant motion
• You love to laugh when you are tickled or think a word is funny that we say over and over again like mama
• Take big bites of your food and are a good eater
• Always roll onto your tummy but only like to be on your tummy for a few minutes
• If you are mad you scream and let us know it kinda sounds like a lion's roar
• Do not like riding in your car seat and scream most of the time
• Love looking at pictures in books and smack the pages while I read to you
• Try to swipe the iPhone and iPad already
• Love to babble and talk back to us
• Taking walks outside is your favorite thing to do
• Splash and make a mess in the bath tub and put your face in the water on purpose 
• Sweat a lot especially your feet
• We call you bubby and bub-rub but lately we try to use Hudson more because we are afraid you think your name is bub-rub

Tonight we tried carrots for the 1st time and they were so messy especially since Hudson wants the spoon now and tries to help you feed him

Hadley

• Content almost anywhere we put you
• Love music and your face lights up when we sing songs
• Your favorite foods are the ones with the smoothest consistency and you don't really like texture
• You often do not open your mouth to take bites you lick your food off the spoon like a kitty cat
• You also sound like a kitty cake because when you talk, usually at night, it sounds like a cat purring you like to squeal in a very high pitch
• You love your crib and get so happy when we put you to bed
• Comes alive at night and thinks its party time it's so hard to say go to sleep and not have fun with her
• You sleep on your side or belly now which made us nervous for a few night but you insist on it so we can't keep rolling you over all night long, you can even roll over in your swaddle to your tummy and I don't think I have ever seen another baby do this (we really need to break the swaddles for nap time)
• Ticklish under your arm
• You love Hudson and like to watch him and rub his head on the play mat
• Love bath time and just relax in the tub
• Give good hugs and like to cuddle in our laps
• When Hudson is screaming you look at him like what is wrong with you will you please stop making all that noise its too loud
• Like to sit with your legs crossed all the time
• We call you Cutes McGutes
