Aunt Marianne Visits

Yeah Brian came home from Baltimore and there is only one week until we go to Louisville for Christmas vacation, life is good. We also had a visit from my Aunt Marianne this weekend and had a great time going out with them. It was fun seeing Stephen, Sylvia, Elaina, Marianne and her new fiancé Mike. We had a great night of Margaritas, Mexican food and later a comedy show. It was great to see them so soon again after spending Thanksgiving with them too, what a nice treat.

Window Shopping

The weekend after Thanksgiving Brian’s mom came to New York to do some holiday sightseeing and a little shopping. We had such a great time going all around the city. We started off at the Columbus Circle Holiday Market then headed to Grand Central Station to have lunch and shop at the market there. The markets are so great in New York because everything is so unique and beautiful; they are one of my favorite things about New York at this time of year. Then we headed to 5th Avenue and looked at all the holiday window displays. I took lots of pictures but they didn’t turn out great because it wasn’t quite dark out yet. Hopefully I still captured the grandeur of the beautiful window displays for you to see in the pictures. Finally we ended up at Rockefeller Center to take a peek at the big tree this year. On Sunday morning before Pat left we went to eat breakfast at Alice’s Tea Cup. It is such a cute little tea house and you may have seen it featured in People Magazine because celebs like to take their children there. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the city especially if you like tea or if you have a little princess to bring along. We had a great such a fun time and it helped me miss Brian a little less.

Louisville Trip Part 2

On Thanksgiving night my mom and decided not to sleep because we didn't think we would ever wake up to shopping so we headed out at 3am to hit the stores. This is the first time we have ever gone super early morning shopping on Black Friday and it was a interesting experience, but I don't think I will ever do that again. On the plus side we did get all the door buster sales we were after and we enjoyed watching all the crazy shoppers. I was also able to catch up with several of my friends and some of their little ones. I can't wait to see everyone again in a short 2 weeks.

Hayden and Madalyn are so sweet good little kids. I loved cuddling with Hayden he would just climb right up in my lap and sit there. Madalyn is so smart and she speaks so well, I remember when she was so little and now she's such a big girl.

It was great to go out with all my girl friends and catch up.

Thanksgiving Louisville Trip

I had a wonderful time in Louisville last week. My mom was shocked that I was there and it was so much fun to surprise her. It was great to see all my family and friends and I can't wait to see everyone again in three weeks.

Happy Thanksgiving

We would like to wish all of our friends and family a very Happy Thanksgiving. I have been extra home sick lately with Brian gone so I decided to go to Louisville for the holiday. I'm so excited because my mom had no idea I'm coming and it's going to be such a great surprise. This is the first Thanksgiving in seven years that Brian and I have been apart, but at least we will each be with our immediate families. I hope everyone else has a blessed Thanksgiving.

Schulz Update

So Brian is still in Baltimore and we haven't seen much of each other. We spent about 6 hours together in three weeks and he still won't be back for two more weeks. But I'm glad it's almost over. There hasn't been much to blog about lately but I am super excited for the holiday season, it's for sure our favorite time of the year for many reasons. Shopping, decorating, holiday music, parties, cookies, friends, family, snow, and let's not forget presents. My tree has been up for two weeks so I am definitely ready for December. We actually have a very busy December so I'm sure there will be many exciting posts with pics this month.
