Happy Easter

We celebrated a wonderful Easter Sunday in Connecticut this year. Nelson's mom adopted us and invited us to celebrate at her house. It was an extra special day because it was also Clementine's third birthday. The church choir was probably the best I have ever heard and the food Shirley prepared was delicious.

Field was so cute teaching the dog how to blow bubbles.

Shoe Wheel

One of the hardest things to get use to living in New York is the lack of closet space. You would never believe all the places I have stuff stored, like behind our headboard, just to name one unique hiding spots. Shoes are a constant struggle for me because I have a lot of them. It's really hard to get them out and remember what you have and just a pain to find spots to store them. I was looking for a new way to store my shoes when I came across the greatest invention: The Shoe Wheel.

These were most of the boxes I had my shoes in plus a basket of flip-flops.
And now they all fit neat and organized in the amazing shoe wheel!

My New Endeavor: Stella & Dot

I am very excited to announce my new Business as an Independent Stylist for Stella & Dot. I fell in love with their jewelry as soon as I saw a catalog. When I received my first order I knew I wanted to be a part of the company. My goal is to have fun and hopefully meet new people, build my jewelry collection, and share this beautiful jewelry with all the people I love so that they too can look fabulous. Stay tuned for for announcements about upcoming Trunk Shows so that you too can add some of these beautiful pieces to your jewelry wardrobe.

About Stella & Dot:
The jewelry is designed in New York and San Francisco by award winning trend-setters who also create jewelry sold in Neiman Marcus and Fred Segal, our boutique style jewelry has been featured in top fashion magazines like InStyle, Lucky Magazine. It is also worn by celebrities like Paris Hilton, Viola Davis and many others. Not to mention the affordability – much of the line is under $50.

A few years ago, Stella & Dot founder and mother of two, Jessica Herrin, had a vision to create a new kind of company that would help today's busy woman thrive. As a successful entrepreneur, who co-founded WeddingChannel.com (yes, you saw her on Oprah!), Jessica wanted to use her talents to help solve the modern woman's dilemma. To help women find a successful career they were passionate about and could balance with a bustling life and family.

The company is only a couple of years old so I am really excited to be a part of Stella & Dot while it is still growing. I am going to be hosting a launch party in Louisville during Derby week. Stay tuned for details. If you want to check out the collection or find out how you can earn free jewelry by hosting a Trunk Show please click on this link stelladot.com/laurarose

Mixed-metal-and-rhinestone jewelry is definitely a trend with staying power - adds a little sparkle without feeling too precious, and transitions from day to night so effortlessly.

Etsy Event

Last Thursday night West Elm hosted a fabulous Etsy event. There was unlimited champagne, wine and deserts, 20% everything in West Elm, and Etsy vendors set up throughout the store selling their goods. I had such a great time and found a few cute things I thought I'd share with ya'll. I did buy a few ther things that I can't show here because they are presents :)

They had a really cool photo booth with props
I made this "I Love U" card for Brian

Cute cans covered in beautiful paper
I'm using this as my new coin jar

Delicious Jam. Have you ever had Watermelon Flavored Jam? It's Yum O!

This was my favorite find. Julie creates beautiful, unique brass jewelry with the constellations of the zodiac signs. I purchased the Leo bracelet, Brian's sign, for myself.

Knicks Game

Last Friday we went to the Knicks Game,
unfortunately they lost but it was still a good game.

There were a few celebs there that you can kind of see in this picture. In the front row with the purple hair is Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers, the the man with a little balding on top is Matt Lauer and his son in the orange hat, and the girl standing with a ponytail is Kim Kardashian.

Cheering for the Cats

We have enjoyed having a team to cheer for throughout the NCAA tournament. Sadly we watched UK's season come to an end Saturday night, but we were glad they provided us with excitement for the month of March. Maybe next year. I guess the Big East isn't quite so overrated :) (Maybe next year I will get to sport Red more than Blue)

Willett Cousins Dinner

The week before we left for Miami my cousin Cori was in New York for a few days with her friend Charlie. I was so excited to visit with Cori because we haven't seen each other since my wedding. It was so nice to get all the cousins together and go to dinner one night. I only wish we could have spent more time together. Come back any time Cori and Charlie.

From Left to Right:
Charli, Cori, Laura, Brian, Sylvia, Elaina (2nd cousin), and Stephen (also a cousin)
