Our Week in Photos

We had a great week besides our horrible appointment with our new pediatrician who we will never go back to again. But besides that one unfortunate event the babies are always so happy and cute and we are really enjoying the weather and being outside. It's so nice how you can just have your doors and windows open all the time I only wish we had a yard o a park that was a little closer.
At Our Check Up:
Husdon 15.2 lbs & 26.25"
Hadley: 13.13 lbs & 25.75"
This is Hadley's "Bunny Foo Foo" I act out the whole song and they love it
We have so many toys but Hudson loves tags and he seeks them out to chew on
The many looks of Hadley "Cutes McGutes"
Doing so good on sitting up
Playing with his spinning toy in his high chair he can really get this thing going

On Wednesday night Brian had a work meeting and we dropped him off then I tried to run a quick errand to Home Depot but Hudson made sure there was nothing quick about this trip. We bathed them and put hem in PJs before we left so they would be all ready for bed when we got home. We also were going for our first ride in their new "big" car seats. Of course Hudson screamed the whole way so I thought he didn't like this car seat either but when I parked to get him out I knew he had a poop from the smell which would explain the crying. What I wasn't quite ready for was poop everywhere when I unsnapped his PJs I'm still not sure how it go on his foot. Thank goodness I had the big diaper bag and a change of clothes, so much for the bath before hand. Also the return lines were crazy long and this guy was melting down fast. What was I thinking "quick" Home Depot run was more like "disaster" lesson learned!
Thursday they slept with their blankies for the first time because the doctor said she thought since they can roll over now they could have something in their crib. Also she thought if Hudson started to get attached to something like a blanket then he could have that in his car seat and he might not cry the whole time. It's worth a shot. Don't they look so cozy.
At music they love the bubbles, here they are trying to catch the bubbles
Music Class: Right now their favorite instrument is the drum they love to bang on it so we got them one for home I will try to post a video of Hadley playing the drum but I have never had any success with videos on here before.
On Friday we took the to their first Happy Hour and had beer and appetizers with Bob and Kristine. We went to this cool place called Yard House and they have about 100 beers on tap and they come in all sizes up to one yard.
Hudson going for the beer Grandpa said he is a chip off the old block
Hadley didn't want to be left out she was going for the half yard.

Swings Part 2

Since the babies loved the swings so much last weekend Tuesday night we decided to walk to a park that is about a half a mile away to check out their baby swings. But when we arrived there was only one baby swing and it had lots of bird poop on it so we tried out the big swings but they weren't as impressed by them. Hudson has also stopped taking his early evening nap so we try to go on long walks or do something to get out every night since he loves being outside, otherwise he is one grumpy baby. The doctor actually suggested putting him to bed earlier and it won't effect his awake time so that's what we did last night and it was so much better.
At the beginning of our walk ready to go!
Before we made it home they both fell asleep

Our Swing'n Weekend

Friday night we walked across the street and tried out the Mexican restaurant and it was so good. $5 margaritas and free mini cheese quesidillas were awesome. In New York we also lived directly across the street from a Mexican restaurant I think this might be a requirement in our next house too.
Saturday one of Brian's co-residents from Columbia was in town visiting her sister and cheering on her fiance, sister, and brother in-law in the Malibu triathlon. After the event they came to our place along with a few other friends and we had a cook out and a mini Columbia reunion. It was a really nice night with good company but as the babies get older it is harder for them to sleep out/on-the-go and not in their cozy cribs. Also, Hudson has stranger anxiety now and of course everyone wants to hold him and play but he gets this terrified look on his face and screams, but as soon as Brian or I pick him up he is fine. Hadley, as usual, could care less who holds her.
Ready for the party

Of course I forgot to take pictures till the very end and didn't even get any of Valerie but this is my friend Lori and her baby Ryan

On Sunday we drove to a new park in Manhattan Beach and explored. We found one baby swing and thought we would give it a try twin style. They loved it especially Hudson his expressions were so great the whole time.

Hadley decided to smile for a few pics then was her serious self
