4th of July in Fire Island & The Hamptons

Yeah our internet is working again and all of my pictures have been uploaded so here is what we did in July.

For the 4th the Tebbe's invited us to Fire Island, where they rented a house for two weeks but only ended up staying about three days. To make a long story short, that I have told several times over, Clementine had a really bad reaction to several bug bites and it was very uncomfortable for her and a little scary. But in the end she recovered and they were able to salvage the vacation during the second week at a wonderful home in the Hamptons that Nelson's sister invited us to.

I love this picture. It really captures how wonderful the feeling of being at the beach is. I'm glad she got better and was able to be a beach baby.

Computer/Internet Trouble :(

I have been very anxious to update my Blog but frustratingly so have been unable to because our internet is down. Customer service from cable companies is really terrible and they are infuriating. Brian said to look on the bright side at least we both got to yell at someone. They aren't going to be able to fix it until next weekend so till then no blogging :(

Where is Laura?

Sorry I have been away from the blog lately but I promise I will be back soon but not quite yet. I'm not even really sure if anyone cares that I have been away from the blog but I like to keep up on it for my scrapbook organization. In the last two weeks I have only slept in my own bed one night. I have been in Fire Island, Louisville, and now the Hamptons. I am going home tomorrow and I can't wait to see Brian and sleep in my own bed :) I will detail my travels in the upcoming week.

Park Avenue Summer Brunch

Last Sunday we had a wonderful brunch at Park Avenue Summer with Brian's Uncle Mickey and Aunt Kim (in the center). They were in New York, from Colorado, celebrating her birthday. Since we seldom get the chance to see them Brian's parents decided to come up for the day and join us for brunch as well.

Weekends At The Park

The past two weekends we have loaded up the cooler and headed to the Sheep's Meadow in Central Park to hang out and relax with Brian's co-workers/friends. I love summer days like these.

Eric & Mandy's Wedding

Last weekend my good friend and co-nanny got married. We had such a nice time at her wedding. I have never been to a wedding that was more characteristic of the couple. She had her personal touches on everything from the fingerprint sign in tree, to the Dr. Seuss readings, to the photo booth, and the band, and the place cards that she made, down to the reception shoes. Mandy is all about the details and that's one of things I like most about her. I'm so happy for her and glad that we were able to be a part of her big day.

The tables were named different places in NYC like Soho, West Village, etc... To make the table cards she used real maps and highlighted the area of the city you were seated in. We were in Dumbo, the neighborhood where we nanny. Such a cute idea.

A Visit to the Farm

The weekend we went to Annapolis and Easton on our way back we stopped in Philly for a night to hang out and visit with Stephen and his girlfriend, Melissa. It was nice that they had come for a visit on the same weekend that we were going to there as well. We went to a local pub one night in his grandma's town and had a lot of fun. On Sunday before we went back we also were able to go to dinner with Brian's parents and celebrate Father's Day.

I swear the longer we are together the more similar we become. We often come out after getting dressed wearing similar or matching outfits that are not even planned and we say the same things at the same time. It's really freaky.

And of course, my baby, it never gets old seeing this face and cuddling with him at night.
