TGF...

Thank Goodness For The Container Store. Since I got my new label maker I really wanted to reorganize our desk and I took it to the next level while I was at the Container Store and bought a new desk to go along with all of our new containers.
Before desk area all the handles were falling off and I had wars with the drawers many times and it looked really cluttered
Moving and reorganizing in a small apartment is a task and a half
After
I love the clean lines of all the white boxes but I need a few more because I underestimated my scrapbooking supplies

Brian Is Home

This weekend in celebration of Brian being home we went out with all our friends that we hadn't seen in a while. We had a great weekend and I'm so happy that I have my hubby back.

On Sunday we had people over for Chili & Football. I made two different kinds of chili and a bunch of yummy treats.
Chili #1 My Original Recipe
Chili #2 an all meat chili
Yummy Apps, the white cheese is a drunken goat cheese that I discovered and it's soaked in red wine and really delicious I also made chex mix for the first time.
Cupcakes, Banana Bread and My first attempt at Cake Pops

More Fall Crafts

I'm still crafting away while Brian is gone but not for long because he returns for good on Friday and I'm so excited. This weekend I was working so hard on completing everything for the craft show so that I can ship it out to my mom. I'm still adding the finishing touches to a few thing but pictures of everything will be posted by next weekend. I was also busy getting super organized this weekend with my new label maker the Tebbe's gave me for my birthday. Now every piece of paper, pen, and paperclip has a spot in our office/desk area and it makes me so happy. After the desk I headed to the closet and did the big switch-over from spring & summer clothes to fall & winter. Once everything was organized I decided it was time for more crafts and I discovered a new Michael's in the city so I decided to make a trip.

Here are my goodies I came home with
Here is my first fall creation: A new wreath for the front door
Loved making these cute felt flowers
They were so cheap and easy each one cost between 15 & 29 cents

I love getting packages in the mail or in person and because last week was my birthday fun little packages have been trickling in all week in addition to a few of my own birthday purchases. Thank you to all my friends and family who took the time to send me and give me thoughtful birthday presents. What can I say 28 is Great!

The Dating Divas

I came across the cutest idea that I can't wait to do when Brian gets home. It's the home stretch now and Brian comes home next Friday; I can't wait. When I saw this cute idea I had to share it. The original idea came from a website, The Dating Divas, which consists of eleven girls who love to date their husbands and they post original, inexpensive and fun date ideas that are a perfect solution for any marriage or relationship. They also feature crafts, marriage tips, and more.
This fun idea is called Seven Days of Love; I think the pictures are self explanatory. CLICK HERE to get the printable. I thought this would be a great idea to do for several occasions but not everyday because you have to mix things up and it's not fun if it becomes a chore. Valentine's and an anniversary or birthday week would be perfect times for this idea. You could even get the entire family involved and make them for your kids during their birthday weeks too.

Browsing In Bloomingdales

I had to stop in Bloomingdales to unfortunately return a pair of super cute Frye clogs that were just too painful to keep. I know they say the leather is stiff and you need to break them in but after one day and 6 band-aids later they were returned. I did find a few fabulous things that I wouldn't mind having show up under the tree this year from Santa :) I thought I'd share a few of my finds:

And two Alice + Olivia Dresses but only one was pictured online
in the store they had it in grey which I liked better :)
