April 2012

We were busy the month of April and now it's mid May and I still haven't blogged about April so I'm going to just touch on a few of the highlights in order.

1. NCAA National Championship

Cheering on UK and sporting the 3 goggles. Congrats to all the UK fans and alum for a much deserved win! We had so much fun watch the tournament this year.

2. Most of our friends already know this but in early April we celebrated Match Day for Brian's fellowship. We are moving to L.A. June 2013. We are very excited and thanks to all of our family & friends for support and encouragement. Look for Brian courtside at the Lakers games for the 2013 season. All visitors are welcome and we are hoping to find something "right by da beach, boyie."

3. Clementine turned 4 and we celebrated with her at her party in the park.

4. My friend Mandy threw a wonderful surprise party for her husband’s birthday. He was so surprised and she did an awesome job with all the little details for a perfect party.

4. Enjoying the beautiful weather and hanging out in Central Park with our new park blanket I made from our old tee shirts. The shirts consisted of old jerseys, dance team, Male, Kentucky, Fudpuckers, our honeymoon, various vacation shirts, etc... I was really proud of it because it was a lot of hard work and the project was all over our apartment.

5. We have also just been enjoying dinner with our friends and hanging out on Sunday Funday, and going to a Yankees game.

Hoppy Easter

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter Sunday. We went to Philly for the weekend and enjoyed lots of cuddle time with Foster and had a nice, relaxing weekend with Brian's parents.

Vail

Last week we enjoyed a wonderful vacation/fellowship interview in Vail. We really liked Vail and Brian was very impressed with the program. We got in two days of skiing, a night of snow tubing, some nice dinners, a happy hour or two, and toured some of the surround towns that might be our potential home for a year. This was Brian's last interview and we find out where he has matched on April 12th, so we will keep you posted.

Organizing

I have bloged many times about organizing. I really do love it! I just can't wait till I have closets that are big enough to organize all of our stuff. Lately our pantry cabinet was driving me crazy so after a trip to the container store and an hour with my label maker I am feeling much more organized.

L.A.Trip

We had such a wonderful but brief trip to LA at the end of February. I thing I will just tell the story of our trip through pictures since we took so many.

First night there we found this cute Mexican restaurant with an outdoor fire pit. This is one thing I love about LA is that almost all of the restaurants have heated outdoor seating.

To celebrate our 6 year wedding anniversary we went to dinner at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood. It was such a wonderful meal and atmosphere despite the hour and 45 min car ride to travel 14 miles, ah LA traffic. We were in the company of a few stars, the most famous of them being Jonah Hill who was recently nominated for best supporting actor in Money Ball.

In this picture you can kid of see the fire wall in the outdoor courtyard of our hotel, it was so cool.

Our last day we spent exploring the town of Manhattan Beach because that's the area we would live in if we moved there. The town was so cute and the beach was awesome.

Yes I could get use to being on the beach in February.
