Malibu Day 2

The last full day that Grandmom and Grandpop were here we decided to take them back to Malibu because we thought it was so beautiful the day before and we wanted to explore more of the area. We started off the day by going on a hike in the Santa Monica Mountains in Malibu State Park. It was a very challenging hike because it was so hot but we survived and saw some very pretty scenery. This post has lots of pictures but everything was so pretty.

After all that hiking we worked up a pretty good appetite and stopped for an early dinner at Dukes. It was right on the water and the waves were crashing up against the rocks. I'm not sure if you can see it in this picture but it was a really cool setting.

Hadley and Hudson were enjoying the view too
After dinner we drove to one of the beaches to hang out and enjoy the sunset

Turning 30!

While Pat and Bill were her I celebrated my 30th birthday. So many wonderful things happened in my 20's but I am so excited about the next decade in my life and about being a mom and Brian completing his training so I think my 30's will be just as wonderful. We were able to get a sitter and go out to a really nice restaurant on my actual birthday and the next day Pat and Bill watched the babies so Brian could take me out for a fun afternoon he planned in Malibu.

You can see here that the ocean looked purple in some spots
Everywhere you looked it was like a postcard picture
