If you know me you know I love decorating and crafts and Christmas etc... Well this year we did not move any of our Christmas decor except our nativity because it was in a small box. I am calling this my Charlie Brown Christmas. Everything has turned out nice but it's nothing compared to my decorations in years past and really it doesn't even feel that much like Christmas because it is still 70 degrees outside. I decided to save our little money we have and not buy a bunch of stuff we didn't need anyways. Here are my $6.00 stockings (Yep only $1 each!) I cut the names out with my cricut and glued them on. Our tree was free because my friend loaned it to us, the mesh garland was $5 at Costco and my mom brought us some ornaments from home. Total cost of tree under $20! For a craft and gifts we made hand print ornaments with our friends. The kits for these run about $10-$20 per kit and we made almost 20 of them for around $20 (that included the ribbon, paint, stamps, and ingredients.) Now who says you can't decorate on a budget?
Tried to get a pic in front of the tree Hudson just wanted to make this face but such a cute smile on Hads. Do you like their Christmas bibs I made?
I am not as crafty on a blog page as I am with a paintbrush or a scrapbook but I will try my best. We are excited to share our adventures in the city but home sweet home will always be Louisville. But for now it's Laura, Brian, and our son/dog Foster in NYC.
Well after years of turmoil I have decided to embrace online social networking. I have recently joined facebook and now it is time to take the next step to keep in touch with my friends. Even though I am a little late to join the online personal brag book I promise to keep you guys entertained. Happy blogging.
