Apt #425

So here it is at last. Several of you have been asking me to post pictures of our apartment. Sorry it took me so long but it is hard to fit everything from a 2 story, 4 bedroom house into a 550 square foot apartment. It's not perfect but we like it. Our building is great too. We have a door man, concierge desk, health club with a pool, roof deck, and reading solarium. We also have some wonderful shops, restaurants, bakeries, and dog parks where we spend most of our free time. Come visit us anytime but pack light.

Maryland: Crabs & Football

This weekend we went to Maryland for the holiday, rest, relaxation, crabs and football. This weekend was full of traditions.  First the annual UK vs UL football game.  Usually we are with our friends in Louisville for this wonderful rival game weather it be for football or basketball. Since we were so far away from Louisville we decided to go to our home away from home Brian's parents house in Maryland. Congratulations to all you blue blooded fans on your win. That's the difference between UK and UofL fans, only a UofL fan would say oh well maybe next year.  If UK lost all you would hear about is how they are going to dominate the rest of the season and all the bad calls that were made etc... It's so much more fun to be a CARDS fan even if they did lose. Another tradition, a crab feast in Maryland.  We had so many crabs we could only eat half of them. Here are some pictures from the weekend & we hope everyone has a Happy Labor Day.

Our Baby

We have been enjoying ourselves while reading all about our friends and their babies at home. We thought you guys would like to know how our baby was doing.

Here he is being held as any baby would be.

Look at that cute face.

Drinking beer with Uncle Stephen, what a wonderful influence.

Rachel Ray, Yum O!

Last Wednesday Brian and I went to a taping of Rachel Ray.  Look for us sometime the week of September 8th when the new season starts.  It is going to be the episode with John Salley and ways to improve the way your bum looks.  They gave everyone a $100 gift certificate to a website with special bum enhancing underwear and other undergarments, you better believe Brian was so pumped. Ha, ha!  It was a really good show though.  Look at all the goodies she gave us.

Yankees Win!

Brian's Parents came to visit last weekend right after my Mom left.  On Saturday we enjoyed a beautiful day in Central Park.  We took a picnic lunch, a blanket, and a dog.  Life is good.  Later that night we enjoyed a belated Birthday dinner for Brian and then headed down the the South Street Seaport to see the Waterfalls.  The Waterfalls are an outdoor art display and at night they are lit.  It was really beautiful but my little camera did not capture it so well.  Where is Matt Durst Photography when you need it?

On Sunday Brian and his Dad went to the Yankees game.  They had such a good time they decided to get an eight game ticket package for next season.  It was lunch box day at Yankee Stadium but you had to be under 14.  We surely thought Brian would pass with his young boyish looks but he came home empty handed.  Maybe next time.  Enjoy the pictures.

Spending time with Mom

My mom came for her first visit since we have moved to New York.  She was here for a little over a week and we had a wonderful time.  We went to see The Little Mermaid and Jersey Boys on Broadway.  Both shows were great and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is planning a trip to NYC.  We went out to eat a lot and shopped a little everyday and she even helped clean our apartment.  Here are some pictures of our fun week.

Foster was here to welcome his Grandma

One day we went to the Regis and Kelly show.  While we were in the stand by line this was a crazy cat guy that somehow scammed a dollar off me, but at least I got a picture.  Only my mom got in but I got a picture of Ben Stiller when he was leaving the show.

I love you Mom. Thanks for all the fun and come back soon.

A Quick Update

Sorry that I have not been blogging for a while.  We have been so busy and there are still no pictures to post because I have not uploaded them to the computer from our camera.  Brian celebrated a wonderful, low key, 26th Birthday on the 7th, and I have been enjoying some vacation time with my mom.  My mom and I have been going shopping, out to eat, and to see a couple of shows.  Foster is getting better and Brian's parents are coming for a visit on Saturday then Brian and his dad are going to the Yankees Game on Sunday.  Brian has next week off so we are just going to relax and I will get back to having regular posts.  Hope everyone is enjoying the Olympics.
