Vail

Last week we enjoyed a wonderful vacation/fellowship interview in Vail. We really liked Vail and Brian was very impressed with the program. We got in two days of skiing, a night of snow tubing, some nice dinners, a happy hour or two, and toured some of the surround towns that might be our potential home for a year. This was Brian's last interview and we find out where he has matched on April 12th, so we will keep you posted.

Organizing

I have bloged many times about organizing. I really do love it! I just can't wait till I have closets that are big enough to organize all of our stuff. Lately our pantry cabinet was driving me crazy so after a trip to the container store and an hour with my label maker I am feeling much more organized.

L.A.Trip

We had such a wonderful but brief trip to LA at the end of February. I thing I will just tell the story of our trip through pictures since we took so many.

First night there we found this cute Mexican restaurant with an outdoor fire pit. This is one thing I love about LA is that almost all of the restaurants have heated outdoor seating.

To celebrate our 6 year wedding anniversary we went to dinner at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood. It was such a wonderful meal and atmosphere despite the hour and 45 min car ride to travel 14 miles, ah LA traffic. We were in the company of a few stars, the most famous of them being Jonah Hill who was recently nominated for best supporting actor in Money Ball.

Our last day we spent exploring the town of Manhattan Beach because that's the area we would live in if we moved there. The town was so cute and the beach was awesome.

Up up and away

We have had a pretty busy February but I haven't really had much "blog worthy" material. February really did go by fast and for the snowiest month of the year it sure was warm. I think we may have had a light dusting one day but that is it. So much for the new cute snow boots I bought at the beginning of the season. Speaking of warm weather, right now I'm actually writing this post as I'm on a flight to L.A. with Brian for his Kerlan Jobe interview. We will also be celebrating our anniversary on Saturday; it's the big 6, yep as in six years of marriage. Six years ago I was getting ready for a different kind a trip, the best trip of my life. I really love being married and I love my husband and our life together. One thing worth mentioning from this month was the movies we saw: The Decedents, The Vow, and 50/50, all good movies and I would recommend them to all. I'll keep you "posted" on the L.A. Trip when we get home.

TGF...Harney & Sons Tea

Thank goodness for Harney & Sons tea because I have been limiting my coffee and caffeine intake for a while now but I can't go without a hot beverage to get the day started. H&S is my favorite brand of teas and the have the coolest tea shop in Soho. We have been there twice to load up on teas and sample the fresh brews of the day. They also brew one cup of any tea you want to try for free. Paris is my all time favorite tea and I haven't ever tried a tea the tastes quite like it. Hot cinnamon spice is their top seller and it's really good as well. This past visit I was on a quest for good iced teas and succeeded in finding the two best ice tea flavors. One is a peach tea and the other is called tropical green, a green tea with hints of pineapple. So if you ever see the the H&S tea in the store I highly recommend it. www.harney.com

The Paris tea was created by Mike in homage to Paris, where Mike enjoyed many a pot of tea at the famous Paris tea shops. This blend is reminiscent of one of the most popular blends in Paris. It is a fruity black tea with vanilla and caramel flavors, and a hint of lemony Bergamot, yum my fave!

Superbowl Sunday

We had so much fun cheering on the Giants and the Patriots Sunday night. Bob and Kristen had an awesome superbowl party with lots of wonderful food. I made Franks Red Hot buffalo chicken dip and a strawberry salsa, recipe curtsy of Nikki Durst. They were both a big hit and all gone. Brian was a little bummed because he was routing for Tom Brady but as Gisele said he, "can't throw the ball and F****** catch it too at the same time." For me it was a win win because the Giants were victorious and I won the cash pool for the final score. I also loved the half time show. I really would love to see Madonna in concert and they just announced that she will be playing at Yankee Stadium in September and tix go on sale Monday. That sounds like a wonderful birthday present for me, Brian.

Stella & Dot's Spring Line

Yes I am still selling Stella & Dot in case you were wondering. I kind of took a break from it for the past three months because I was just so busy and its hard to lug jewelry around in the cold in NYC, but one of my goals is to book more parties and get back to sharing all this beautiful jewelry with my friends.
